Elimu ya ufundi, suluhisho la ukosefu wa ajira nchini TANZANIA:
Ukosefu wa ajira bado ni moja ya changamoto kubwa ulimwenguni kote hususan miongoni mwa vijana wanaohitimu masomo ambayo kwa kiasi kikubwa yamewaelekeza katika kazi za kuajiriwa. Nchini Tanzania takwimu zinazoonesha kuwa asilimia 70 ya wahitimu hawana ajira, imeisukuma serikali ya nchi yetuo kuanzisha kampeni ya kuhamasisha vijana kujiunga na elimu ya kuwawezesha kupata stadi za ufundi.
Mmoja wa vijana ambao wameikumbatia elimu ya ufundi ni Raymond Baluku ambaye ana vyeti viwili sasa kimoja kikiwa cha ufundi wa magari na kingine cha kuchomelea vyuma. naye amesoma katika chuo cha ufundi stadi KIDT VTC MOSHI
KIDT -VTC
MOSHI history is traced back in 1999 when JICA set its base in
Kilimanjaro regional for various agriculture and industrial projects
.Through Kilimanjaro Industrial development Trustee focusing in
industrial products and services include engineering work at the same
time the training wing was established dealing with various vocational
training ,IT communication and business studies branched itself to give a
start to an education entity called KIDT -VTC MOSHI. Initially KIDT
scope of action was simply limited to train the workers (and candidates
to employment) of the parental company. But soon KIDT-VTC transformed
itself into a fully Educational Institute embracing more local young
people who were eager to learn new Vocational and IT skills.
KIDT- VTC is fully registered under VETA and is on the process of further registration and recognized by the National Council for Technical Education in Tanzania (NACTE). Further, KIDT-VTC has established partnership with other vocational entities such as Moshi Institute of Technology (MIT), Microsoft, CompTIA, Prometric and Aptech computer.
KIDT-VTC MOSHI has been always the forerunner in implementing technology solutions in the various facet of education. Unique Computer labs are designed and equipped with latest configuration of Hardware and software.
The
motto of offering more practical oriented courses is achieved by
providing one to one computer facility during practical to students Labs
assistant are available during the lab sessions to provide
uninterrupted practical sessions. All technology is installed for
student to use.
OUR COURSES
KIDT-VTC VOCATIONAL TRAINING We have an integrated curriculum enriched with both academic and vocational subjects. This enables our students to be job creators rather than job seekers. It is compulsory that each student in the Primary and secondary section has to choose a course of his/her own choice from the vocational section.
These courses include; Motor vehicle mechanics, Electricity and electronics, Carpentry and joinery, Bricklaying and concrete practice, Hairdressing and Cosmetology, Tailoring and fashion design.
Objectives
- To equip trainees with relevant technological skills, knowledge, attitudes and values to enable them serve as professional
technical teachers and technologists.
- To produce skilled people and technologists to met market demand
- To develop research skills in both technical skills and technologists
- To promote creativity and innovation in innovation using technology
ACCOMMODATION
Currently KIDT VTC has a limited number of rooms in its two hostels,one for male and other for female students capable of accommodating 50, Student accommodated at the college hostel must observe the rules and regulations applicable to the college hostel, these include to all student
